So, it's already august.
What I have been up to - mainly, watching TV series:
  • I caught up on Leverage - nice show, but it's kinda feels like work trying to watch the new episodes. I don't know why, since it is a good show and I like this Robin Hood approach to justice, but, ugh.
  • Criminal Minds - I'm stuck on 4x19 now. Gotta watch it before the 5th season begins. There will be one, right?
There are some new ones:
  • Castle - the chick is tolerable, the dude is funny, though how much he's let on to do on the crime scene is a crime in itself. The quirky family is a nice bonus.
  • Mentalist - it's a first time I get mixed signals from just a face: sometimes his smiles are so sweet as if a cherub is smiling at you, and other times it's just plain CREEPY. He would make a perfect Lucifer - curly blond hair, blue (?) eyes, and the purpose of his life is - vengeance. And that chief CBI girl (the small one) (and, yes, I'm that bad with names) is SO boring. Is she on drugs? A stone has more facial expressions than her.
Now a rant: Castle had 10 episodes, Mentalist 23. Both have charismatic leading men, who have a knack to solving cases just like that *snaps fingers*. One is happy, the other not so much. The episodes are basically stand alone case files with some story ark here and there. I would gladly cut off half of the Mentalist epis (I don't remember that many) and totally rewrote the finale:
  1. The story goes just tooooo slow
  2. There wasn't any cliffhanger.
  3. The fuck? Some piano music and oranges!? At least in "Life" Cruise killed a Russian mofo with one move and THAT was cool, and yes, there were oranges - the whole field of them, and I didn't mind. This guy could barely lift a gun. Geez.
  4. If there weren't any real confirmations about season 2, then why not end it with a bang? A BIG bang at least.
  5. It was pathetic
But it's still entertainment, so I'll be watching it anyways.
  • The Listener - I liked the sidekick more than the main character. It has potential, but so far - meh.
  • Royal Pains - so far, so very good. Usually I'm not into medical series, but as one patient said, he's like a frigging MacGyver. I'm surprised there isn't any text at the bottom saying "Kids, don't try this at home".
I'm also, with a speed of a drunk  snail, watching videos about Corel Painter.
I don't have a style, but I have 3 programs to paint/draw. Yay.....((kill me now)).....

Now I just have to find a job (finally), start/finish 2 term papers, prepare for an exam and my brother's wedding, and not go insane (oooo, birdie!) (hmm, too late for that one).

*yawn* Mmm, Sunday and tomorrow is another holiday. Gotta love summer. :D
I'm at it again.
I have this picture in my computer, that's been lying around for like *lemme look*, ah, since February: it's a guy in a white shirt, scruffy looking and importantly ***drums*** with a tie. Yeah, a shock, ain't it. Anyways, for me it just screamed "Make me into Castiel!".

Okey, sooo, it's been a while.
Anyway, I've drawn a new wallpaper. It may not look it but I consider it a wallpaper.
I can't tell where the idea came from - my mind is a very strange place.
And it's sort of a VERY late response to the season finale.
Basically, the title is LucyBear Rising. And the resolution of the pic is 1280x1024 px.

Comments are love and extra cookies. ^________^
PS: I'm still learning, so ANY advice would be very welcome.

Yep, tomorrow will be the first semi final of the 2009 Eurovision song contest, held in Moscow, Russia.
Then the second part on Thursday, May 14. Heh, the Friday will be an interesting mix of SPN/Euro talk. :P
And at last, the Grand Finale on Saturday!
So, who's gonna win this year? It has become sort of a tradition for me to download the songs about a month before the contest. Off course, a good song is only a half of winning. And I'm really curious of this super stage that is so much talked about and I've seen glimpses of which on the news. The Russians worked really hard it seems. I'm looking forward to a great show! :D
Anyways, I've listened to all the songs and picked some of my favorites. I don't have any exceptional taste or powers of guessing of who's going to be a winner, BUT I hope some of these guys and gals will take good places.

Ok, so I've made sort of a crossover poster between two (three? Cause it kinda reminds me of a Pirates of the Caribbean poster, lol) upcoming movies My bloody Valentine 3D and Friday the 13th.

Thank God, the Apocalypse was averted! (at least till spring..... hopefully *crosses fingers*)

Now I can actually get creative without my pesky conscience telling me "No, you have more important things to do". The bitch sometimes works on over-drive let me tell you.

Soooo, I have some projects in mind: a few manipulations (Anyone's done Impala baby's before? I haven't. Will have to see if it's possible at all. This is not a definite promise! ), then various wallpapers and a BIG project, yes, capital letters, cause I will have to learn a few new things such as drawing in Illustrator and other stuff. I have downloaded videos, found tutorial sites. And, yeah, what I have in mind can be done with a simple pen tool in Photoshop, but vector art is soooooo awesome! I just hope I'll have enough time and will to learn to use it.

My muse has been lazy too long. It's time to shake up some things:))))

At last, I'm HERE! *falls to her knees and kisses the virtual ground*
Now, I've been on-line for about, what, 5 years and even am a member of a few forums. But that's all for granted nowadays and nothing special. THIS, on the other hand, is my own little piece of Heaven (or Hell - time will show).
If the LJ was a living thing, I would hug it and squish it - I'm just that excited. :P
Ok, now I just have to make it all pretty: avatars, a header and so on. And then head to the wide LJ world to make some new friends.
I doubt there will be a new post every day, cause I'm all for 'only important stuff' and the posts will mostly consist of the wallpapers I've made. But there might be some other stuff too. I'm a curious person and when I find something interesting or amusing, I like to share it with others.

In conclusion, as you can see, I like to ramble, I really do, like a lot. I even like to ask myself rhetorical questions (who doesn't?). Now, I'm off to the Photoshop farm to make some nice (or not) graphics.
